French One has successfully completed their first oral presentation. In most accounts, it was extremely successful. Students did very well pronouncing their letters of the alphabet. The purpose of learning the pronunciation of the letters was so that the will learn more easily how to pronounce the French words.

This week we will be learning the basics for sentence structure in French. It is not that different from English or Spanish. However, it helps to understand this concept in order to master more complex constructions and is also the foundation for making coversation.

Students should expect daily "bell ringers". These are short start up activities at the beginning of the class. They should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. Usually it touches on a previous lesson.

Monday night, August 22 - students need to complete workbook pages 5 and 6.
Tuesday night, August 23 - students need to study the vocabulary and grammar 3.1 for a quiz on Wednesday.
Wednesday night, August 24 - students need to complete page 11 in the workbook.
Thursday night, August 25 - students need to complete page 7 in the workbook
